Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. --Jesus

Do you reckon (think) that you are a little short on righteousness? Then you need to ask God to reckon you(credit to your account) some righteousness, I reckon (think). Then you will be okay on the day of reckoning (accounting). Jesus led a perfect, sinless life, and yet was punished by the Father for our sin. He (the Father) made Him (the Son) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (Jesus). Think of it as a profitable trade: He got our sin, we got His righteousness. What a deal!

So, are you a sinner in need of a Savior? Or do you have it covered?

Jesus is the righteousness of God. It is His righteousness that qualifies us for heaven. We need to submit.

Let go, and let God. Let go, sinner, let go. Stop trying to be your own Savior.

Romans 10:3 - For being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God's righteousness.

Jesus is your extra credit. Actually, He is the only credit that counts!
